Krista Stokes

Director of Design & Brand

Krista Stokes was born on an Army Base in Germany and as the daughter of a serviceman, she has since lived in 8 US states and countless cities, perhaps sparking her ability to reimagine any space she walks into. With a background in photo styling and art, Stokes career in interior design started simply by helping people cultivate their personal space into something they could love and feel comfortable in. Her unique take on interior design and ability to decorate in the spirit of the individual she was designing for, made her a sought after designer in Southern Maine eventually leading her to Tim Harrington and Atlantic Hospitality. Her background in hospitality combined with her thoughtful approach to comfortable spaces seemed like a natural fit for designing hotel properties and she joined the Atlantic team in 2019.

In her spare time, Krista can be found frequenting flea markets with her dog, Fig, visiting museums, admiring churches, and exploring thrift stores.

Mark Cotto

Creative Director

Mark Cotto fondly remembers helping his grandmother with designs during the renovation of her antique farmhouse. He was 10. After receiving his BA from Suffolk University, Mark’s lifelong passion for interior design led him to careers in floral design, event composition, and photo styling.

A filming of the reality show Chopped at one of Harrington’s properties, started the conversation that ultimately led to Mark joining the design team at Atlantic Hospitality. While working as Martha Stewart’s assistant for the week, his eye for design details was promptly recognized by Harrington and within a year Mark was designing for Tim’s properties full-time.

Mark considers his approach to design as timeless, refined, personal and inviting. His goal is to compose spaces that feel established and curated over time, a feeling he finds especially important when creating hotel spaces.

A Cape Cod native, Mark currently splits his time between Boston, MA, and Kennebunkport, ME solidifying his love of being near the ocean. His other loves include exploring antique and vintage stores, entertaining, and traveling (to Europe whenever possible!).
